National Scholars Award
Scholarship Sponsored by The University of Arizona
The UA National Merit Scholarship award packages below include the college-sponsored, corporate-sponsored, or National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)-sponsored awards. Students must respond to NMSC requests to accept these awards.
A) Arizona Scholars: $15,000 per academic year + one-time $1,500 Study Abroad Award
B) Non-Arizona Scholars: $30,000 per academic year + one-time $1,500 Study Abroad Award
Availability Four consecutive years (8 semesters total) for fall and spring semesters only; based on academic year renewal requirements. Students who complete their undergraduate degree in less than 8 consecutive semesters may use the remaining semester(s) toward graduate or Pharmacy school costs at UA in the semester immediately following graduation. The $1,500 National Scholar Study Abroad Award is a one-time award for a UA-Sponsored Study Abroad Program. See Study Abroad & Student Exchange section below.
Selection
This award is offered to the National Scholars who qualify by taking the Preliminary SATs (PSATs) in high school.
If you are a National Merit Finalist, you must declare the UA as your first school of choice with National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) by their deadline.
