Character Counts Scholarship: $10,000 Award

At Parker & Sons, we believe that character matters both on and off the field. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Arizona Sports to offer the Character Counts Scholarship, a $10,000 award to honor local high school students who exemplify outstanding character and community involvement.

Who’s Eligible?

Any local high school student between 14 and 18 years of age who demonstrates:

  • Exceptional character both on and off the field
  • Good sportsmanship
  • Community involvement and giving back

How It Works:

Nominate a student who stands out for their character! Whether you’re a teacher, coach, parent, peer, or even the student yourself, anyone can submit a nomination.

From the pool of nominations, 10 finalists will be selected. Each finalist will:

  • Be featured on Arizona Sports Radio and ArizonaSports.com
  • Have their story highlighted on the Character Counts page of Arizona Sports
  • Attend the prestigious Character Counts Award Ceremony with their family
  • Have a shot at winning the $10,000 scholarship, selected by a panel of judges from Parker & Sons and Arizona Sports.

How to Apply

Submitting a nomination is simple:

  1. Visit the Parker & Sons Character Counts Nominations page on Arizona Sports.
  2. Fill out the nomination form.
  3. Tell us how the nominee exemplifies character, sportsmanship, and community dedication.

Important Dates

  • Nominations are open now!
  • Deadline: Submit by December 31st.
  • The 10 finalists will be announced, and all finalists will be honored at the award ceremony in Spring 2025, where the winner of the $10,000 scholarship will be revealed.
