Ralph Hale and Martha L. Ruppert Educational Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Silicon Valley Community Foundation
For students who found their footing later in their academic journey—those who showed marked improvement in high school or early college after a slow start.
Scholarship award
- Awards up to $10,000.
Program history
- The Ruppert Educational Grant Program was created from a trust and bequest by Ralph Hale Ruppert and Lenore Martha Ruppert to honor their mothers, Nellie Hale Ruppert and Amanda Miller Edwards. The fund’s mission is to support young people facing financial need who are committed to improving their circumstances. Grants target “late bloomers”: students who have demonstrated academic potential and upward progress during the later years of high school or the initial years of college, but who may not qualify for most scholarships because their overall GPAs remain low.
