Worthy Goal Scholarship

Introduction
The IFSEA Worthy Goal Scholarship provides annual financial assistance, typically ranging from $500 to $2,500, to students pursuing an accredited degree in food service, hospitality, or a related field at a college or university. Funds may be applied toward tuition and other required fees associated with an accredited Food Service or Hospitality Management program. Awards are made each spring for use in the upcoming fall semester.
Purpose
This scholarship exists to support individuals continuing their education in hospitality, foodservice management, or vocational training beyond high school. IFSEA’s intent is to help advance the education and career prospects of future professionals in the industry.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student at an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the upcoming fall term.
- “Full-time” is defined according to Federal Financial Aid Guidelines.
- The program of study must be in hospitality management, foodservice, or a closely related discipline.
- Applicants do not have to be IFSEA members to apply. IFSEA members, however, are permitted to act as recommenders.
Award Announcement and Distribution
Recipients are selected and scholarship awards are announced in the spring prior to the following fall semester. The scholarship is intended for use in the fall term for which it is awarded.
