State Troopers Scholarship Programs

Introduction
The American Association of State Troopers Foundation (AASTF) offers scholarships for children of AAST members. Eligible children include biological children, legally adopted children, stepchildren, or children raised as the member’s own (claimed as a dependent on the member’s income tax).
Eligibility and award conditions
- Scholarships may be withheld or revoked for cause, including but not limited to: the recipient’s GPA dropping below the Foundation’s required minimum, withdrawal from school, or failure to comply with any Foundation requirements.
- Awards will not be distributed until the applicant has satisfied all application and documentation requirements.
Required materials and ownership
- All application materials, including essays, photographs, acceptance letters, and transcripts, become the property of the AAST Foundation and may be used to promote the scholarship program. Promotion may include publication on the Association’s website and in the Foundation’s Annual Report.
- Submitted items will not be returned to applicants.
Transcripts
- Official original transcripts or official internet transcripts are accepted only if sent directly to AAST by the issuing college or university.
Deadlines and submission instructions
- If mailing, the application must be postmarked by July 31 for consideration. Applications postmarked after July 31 will not be processed.
- Faxed applications are not accepted.
- You may either mail the completed application and all required documents or scan and email them. Send materials to:

- For transcripts, either mail the official copy or arrange for the institution to send an official digital transcript directly to the Foundation.
