Kappa Foundation of Gainesville-Manassas (KFGM) believes education opens doors and changes lives. Through our yearly scholarship program, we invest in the academic and personal development of local youth. Whether you are finishing high school and preparing for college or are a middle- or high-school student growing as a leader and artist, we encourage you to review the opportunities below and consider applying.

Who is eligible
- Applicants must meet the grade-level, residency, GPA, and other specific criteria listed for each award.
- Scholarships are intended for students in the Gainesville–Manassas/DMV area and Northern Virginia as noted in each description.
- Kappa League scholarships are reserved for members of the local Kappa League where specified.

Scholarships for students heading to college
- Allia Watts Scholarship Fund — $1,000
- For college-bound high school seniors.
- Applicant must have at least one parent who is a disabled veteran with a VA disability rating of 10% or greater.
- Award recognizes students who demonstrate honor, courage, and commitment through service and character.

- Ben Abney Scholarship — $1,000
- Open to students in the DMV region planning to enroll at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
- Requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Intended for students who plan to use their higher education to positively impact the future.

- Dr. John Morton Emerging Leader Scholarship — $500
- For high-achieving seniors from Northern Virginia.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 and be bound for an accredited, four-year HBCU.
- Awarded to those who have shown exceptional leadership during their high school careers.

Youth leadership, arts, and legacy awards
- Seeju M. Dupre Kappa League Youth Scholarship — $500
- For young men in grades 6–12.
- Requires a minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Celebrates students with a strong interest in the arts—creators or appreciators—who are committed to using their talents for community benefit.

- Alexander Moore Legacy Scholarship — $500
- Available to graduating seniors from the Kappa League.
- Seeks candidates who have demonstrated notable personal growth, leadership, and a sustained commitment to self-improvement throughout their Kappa League experience.

- Reginald Moore Legacy Scholarship — $500
- For Kappa League members in grades 6–11.
- Honors students who show perseverance, leadership, and a dedication to remaining active in the Kappa League as they continue their development.
