Black Collaborative STEaM Scholarship

Introduction
To address the rising demand for technical and financial professionals and the persistent underrepresentation of Black talent in STEaM fields, alliant and the alliant Black Collaborative have launched a scholarship program. It aims to encourage Black students beginning their college journeys to pursue degrees in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or accounting and to help develop the next generation of leaders.
Eligibility
- Must be a Black student who is a high school senior or a college freshman or sophomore residing in the Greater Houston Area.
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
- Must be enrolled at a two- to five-year institution by Fall 2026.
- Intention to pursue a degree in a STEM field or accounting.
- Prior recipients of the alliant STEM scholarship are ineligible.
- Applicants who previously applied for an alliant scholarship must submit a new application.
How to apply — Written material
Submit responses to the written prompts below. Aim for about 200 words or fewer for each answer.
- Describe how your enthusiasm for STEM or accounting has shaped your academic objectives.
- Provide a personal example in which your Black identity influenced your viewpoint or prompted you to act.

Record a short video (1–3 minutes) addressing:
- A few fun facts about yourself.
- Why you believe you should be selected for this scholarship.
