Overview:
Financial awards are available for advanced undergraduate and graduate students pursuing studies focused on light and lighting. Applicants working on significant projects or thesis research about lighting may receive additional priority.
Who is eligible:
- Junior (third-year) or senior (fourth-year) undergraduate students studying subjects centered on lighting.
- Graduate students whose coursework or research is focused on lighting.
- Applicants undertaking specific lighting-related projects, with extra consideration given to graduate students developing a thesis on light or lighting.
Relevant fields:
Programs in lighting architecture, electrical engineering, interior design, theater, film/TV, lighting design, vision science, or other disciplines with a clear connection to lighting are all appropriate.
Geographic requirement:
Applicants must be currently enrolled at an institution located in Northern California — this includes campuses in San Luis Obispo, Fresno, and areas to the north.
