Philadelphia's Last Dollar Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Philadelphia Education Fund
Overview
The Last Dollar Scholarship provides need-based gap funding between $500 and $7,500 to graduates of the Philadelphia Education Fund’s high school College Access Program who enroll full-time at an accredited 2- or 4-year nonprofit college or university.
How awards are determined
We evaluate each applicant’s Student Aid Index (SAI) as reported on the FAFSA, the total value of the college’s financial aid offer, and the college’s published Cost of Attendance (COA). Eligible costs that may be covered include tuition, on-campus housing, meal plans, required fees, and public transportation for commuting students. Awards are intended to fill the remaining financial gap after other aid has been applied.
Renewal and duration
Recipients may reapply annually for up to six years counting from their first year of eligibility, provided they continue to meet program conditions, including maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and fulfilling other participation requirements.
