Levine And Wiss is inviting high school and undergraduate students to apply for the Community Impact Scholarship, a $2,500 award intended to recognize and support students whose volunteer efforts have strengthened communities, fostered unity, and driven positive change. By offering this grant, the firm aims to encourage continued community engagement and support for those working to improve others’ lives. Applications must be completed by June 30, 2026. Who may apply - The scholarship is open to high school seniors and current undergraduate students across all fields of study. - Applicants must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university in the United States and be able to provide proof of enrollment or acceptance. Application requirements To be considered, applicants must: - Be enrolled at or accepted to an accredited U.S. college or university and provide documentation of enrollment/acceptance. - Be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment. - Be a U.S. resident. - Be in good academic standing. - Agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions. - Provide basic personal and academic contact information. - Submit an original essay (see topic and formatting below). - Turn in all required materials by the June 30, 2026 deadline. Incomplete or late submissions will not be reviewed. Essay topic and submission instructions - Write an original essay of 500–800 words describing your community involvement. Do not use AI to generate the essay. If you include sources, include a bibliography and citations where appropriate. - Address the following points in your essay: 1. Communities — Which groups or communities have you served, and how have you invested your time and effort to improve them? 2. Motivations — What inspired or connected you to this community work? 3. Impact — Provide concrete examples of how your service affected people or communities in need. 4. Challenges — Describe obstacles you faced in connecting with or serving the community and how you addressed them. 5. Future goals — How do you plan to continue supporting communities in need going forward? - Submit the essay and proof of enrollment/acceptance through the scholarship application form. Applications missing required documents will not be considered. Selection criteria and timeline - Essays will be judged by Levine And Wiss’s scholarship selection committee on clarity of thought, the demonstrable nature of community service, depth and insight, and how well the applicant communicates future plans for continued service. - The committee will review entries after the June 30, 2026 deadline and reserves between one and three months to choose the winner. After a recipient is selected, a representative from Levine And Wiss will contact the student and their family. Please do not contact the firm to request updates on individual applications. Terms, conditions, and exclusions - In addition to the eligibility requirements listed above, applicants must submit truthful personal and academic information and write an original essay specifically for this scholarship. - The following individuals are not eligible to apply: - Employees of Levine And Wiss or their children. - Previous recipients of the Community Impact Scholarship. - Applicants who are unwilling or unable to participate in an interview with a Levine And Wiss representative if requested. - Applicants who submit the same essay for multiple scholarships or reuse the same essay in consecutive years. Levine And Wiss looks forward to reading applicants’ stories of service and impact. Again, all application materials must be submitted by June 30, 2026 to be considered.
