Introduction
Across Washington State, Masonic lodges and affiliated Masonic bodies offer a variety of scholarships. Award amounts, eligibility rules, and application timelines differ by program — review each listing below to determine which you may qualify for.

A note about local programs
Local Lodge scholarship programs operate independently of Washington Masonic Services (WAMS). The WAMS scholarship offerings are additional opportunities and do not replace scholarships administered by individual lodges.

Eligibility overview
Unless otherwise noted, applicants must be Washington State high school seniors planning to continue their education (college, university, or other post‑secondary training). Several awards require a minimum 3.0 GPA. Relationship-based scholarships accept applicants who are the child, stepchild, grandchild, step‑grandchild, sibling, or IRS‑defined dependent of a member in good standing of a Washington Masonic Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington. Those whose qualifying relative was a member who died while in good standing are also eligible.

Scholarship opportunities

- Masonic Legacy Scholarship — $3,750 each (4 awards)
- Requirements:
- Applicant must be a Washington State high school senior pursuing further education.
- Must be the child, stepchild, grandchild, step‑grandchild, sibling, or IRS‑defined dependent of a member in good standing of a Washington Masonic Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington; applicants whose qualifying relative was a member who died while in good standing are also eligible.
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.

- Masonic Youth Order Scholarships — $3,000 each (one award per youth order)
- Purpose: Washington Masonic Services supports members of Masonic youth organizations through these awards.
- Requirement:
- Washington State resident who is a current member of DeMolay, Job’s Daughters, Knights of Pythagoras, or Rainbow Girls and is a graduating high school senior in 2024.

- Scottish Rite Masonic Legacy Scholarship — $3,000 each (8 awards)
- Requirements:
- Applicant must be a Washington State high school senior planning to pursue higher education.
- Must be the child, stepchild, grandchild, step‑grandchild, sibling, or IRS‑defined dependent of a member in good standing of a Washington Masonic Lodge under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington; applicants whose qualifying relative was a member who died while in good standing are also eligible.

Michelle Adamson Heeb — Educator of the Year Award (nomination deadline: June 1)
