Overview
The Redwood Empire Active 20-30 Club #1029 is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization serving Sonoma County. We provide hands-on volunteer support and financial assistance to local nonprofits that help disadvantaged children. Since 2000, our club has contributed more than $250,000 to community charities. To recognize young women who demonstrate a strong dedication to volunteerism, we offer a scholarship for female high school seniors who live in and attend school in Sonoma County. Awards are granted based on volunteer service, alignment with our club’s values, and demonstrated financial need.
Eligibility
- Must be a female high school senior residing in and attending school in Sonoma County.
- Must be a legal resident or citizen of the United States.
- Redwood Empire Active 20–30 Club #1029 is a women’s organization; this scholarship is intended to honor and support young women for their community service.
Application process and award conditions
- Scholarship winners will be contacted by phone or email.
- To receive scholarship funds, awardees must submit an official acceptance letter from an accredited college or trade school to Redwood Empire Active 20-30 Club #1029.
Required application materials
1. Completed application form.
2. Personal essay.
3. One-page letter of recommendation from the director of a charity or another individual who is familiar with your community service and financial need. The recommendation must be addressed to the Redwood Empire Active 20-30 Club Scholarship Committee and include the recommender’s contact information.
4. Current high school transcript (an unofficial copy is acceptable).
