Central AlabamaWorks Scholarship — overview
This scholarship was created to help exceptional, deserving graduates meet their post-secondary education expenses. It is intended for students preparing to continue into community college, trade or vocational programs, or short-term career-technical training within Alabama.
Who may apply
Open to graduating seniors from any high school located in one of the following 13 counties: Autauga, Bullock, Chambers, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Russell, or Tallapoosa.
Applicant requirements
- Must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent GED.
- Must live in one of the 13 counties listed above.
- Must have been accepted to an Alabama community college, a trade/vocational school, or a short-term career technical training program.
- Must possess a valid Alabama identification card.
- Must submit two letters of recommendation.
