Scholarship Sponsored by Collaboratory
During the 2025 scholarship cycle, Collaboratory distributed $1,250,757 in awards and granted 177 scholarships, made possible by the generosity and commitment of our donors.
Program purpose and who we serve
- Our Scholarships Program supports learners at every stage—from high school students and adult learners to undergraduate and graduate students.
- While many recipients come from Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee counties, funding can be used at vocational or technical schools, state colleges, and universities anywhere in the United States.
- Awards are granted based on a range of factors, such as academic performance, community involvement, chosen field of study, athletic participation, and attendance at particular schools.
- One application gives you the chance to be considered for multiple scholarship opportunities that match your qualifications and goals.
How the application process works
1) Eligibility screening
Start by answering a short set of eligibility questions. Read each prompt carefully and respond truthfully—these answers determine which scholarships you may qualify for.
2) Matching scholarships appear
After the eligibility screening, you’ll see a list of scholarships for which you meet the basic requirements.
- Choose the awards you want to apply to by checking the box beside each scholarship name.
- If no scholarships are shown, you do not currently meet the eligibility criteria for any available awards.
3) Short-answer prompts
The main application includes several brief response questions. When completing them:
- Follow the instructions for each prompt
- Address every part of the question
- Observe any stated word or character limits
Tip: You can view these prompts in advance in the “Required Materials Checklist” section.
4) Required uploads before submission
You must attach the following documents to submit the main application:
- Academic transcript
- One letter of recommendation
- FAFSA Submission Summary
5) Additional materials for specific scholarships
Certain awards may request extra documentation (for example, essays, additional recommendation letters, or particular forms). If you are applying to a scholarship that requires these items, you will be prompted to upload them after submitting the primary application. Only applicants for those specific scholarships will need to provide extra materials.
If you have questions about eligibility or required documents, contact Collaboratory for guidance before submitting.
