Safe Water Scholarship

Intro
The Outreach Committee offers scholarships to help train the next generation of workers in the water sector. Awards are intended for students who are committed to pursuing careers in water-related fields and who are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
Eligibility and application requirements
- Must be enrolled in a post-secondary institution (pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree).
- Must be studying or planning to pursue a career in a water-related discipline.
- Complete the application in full, including the Goals, Interest in Field, and Leadership sections. Attach your most recent transcript and a current resume.
- Preference will be given to applicants who attend school in Illinois or who intend to live and work in Illinois.
Scholarship specifics
- Award amount: up to $1,000.
- Funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s educational institution for the current academic year.
- Application deadline: June 30.
- Applicants will be notified by: August.
- Funds distributed by: September 30.

Information for award recipients
- Recipients must provide payment details to ISAWWA and should allow 45–60 days for disbursement after paperwork is submitted.
- Scholarship winners will receive complimentary registration to ISAWWA’s annual WATERCON Conference.
- Immediate family members of ISAWWA staff are ineligible to receive scholarship funds.
- Accepting the scholarship grants permission for ISAWWA to use the recipient’s name and school publicly.
- Be sure to answer all required questions on the application; required items are indicated with an asterisk (*).
