INTRODUCTION
The INKAS “Rising Star” Scholarship recognizes exceptional post-secondary students who are studying engineering or business-related programs and who demonstrate promise to influence the future of security, manufacturing, and corporate operations. Submissions will be assessed by the INKAS Scholarship Committee using criteria including structure, clarity, creativity, relevance to INKAS’s sector, and forward-looking vision.
AWARD
One winner from each scholarship category will receive a $2,500.00 CAD award. Awards will be presented by INKAS CEO David Khazanski and Chairwoman Margarita Simkin.
SCHOLARSHIP CATEGORIES
1) Engineering & Technology Scholarship
For students enrolled in engineering programs with interests in security, manufacturing, and technological development.
Areas of focus include:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Automotive Engineering
- Cybersecurity & Information Security
- AI & Machine Learning applied to Manufacturing
- Mechatronics & Robotics
- Materials Science & Advanced Manufacturing
2) Business, Finance & Law Scholarship
For students pursuing business-related studies who are focused on global security, defense trade, corporate functions, or financial technologies.
Areas of focus include:
- Supply Chain Management & Logistics
- International Business & Trade
- Marketing & Brand Strategy
- Accounting (including CPA/CGA pathways)
- Corporate Law & Regulatory Compliance
- Fintech & Financial Technology
ELIGIBILITY
To be considered for the 2025 Rising Star Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:
1. Have achieved at least a 75% average (or equivalent GPA) in the most recent term/semester.
2. Be currently enrolled, or planning to enroll full-time, in an accredited Canadian or U.S. university program in Business or Engineering for the 2025 academic year. Required documentation: a recent unofficial transcript and, if not yet enrolled, an acceptance letter.
3. Be one of the following: a Canadian citizen, a Canadian permanent resident, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. Green Card holder, or hold a valid study permit/student visa for Canada or the United States. Required documentation: a clear copy of the appropriate ID or permit.
ESSAY REQUIREMENTS
- Length: maximum 750 words.
- Each applicant must submit an essay matching the topic for the scholarship category they are applying to. Essays will be judged on organization, clarity, originality, and relevance to INKAS’s industry and future direction.
Essay Prompts:
- Engineering & Technology applicants: How can emerging technologies (for example AI, cybersecurity, materials science, or robotics) improve security, efficiency, and innovation in the armored vehicle or defense sector? Provide concrete applications and real-world examples.
- Business, Finance & Law applicants: In the current global context, how can strategic leadership, ethical decision-making, and innovation promote sustainable growth and build trust within the armored vehicle and security industries?
NON-AI VERIFICATION

DEADLINE
Complete applications must be received by January 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST.
