Renee Torgenson Memorial Scholarship

Torgenson Law is a Phoenix, Arizona personal injury law firm dedicated to the advancement of equality, impartiality, and access to justice for everyone, regardless of their economic situation.

As such, the Phoenix personal injury lawyers at Torgenson Law are excited to offer a $1000 scholarship three times per year to a student (incoming or current college student) pursuing a law degree or a law student currently enrolled in an accredited law school.

The award recipient will share the same values as my grandma, who the scholarship is named after, Renee Torgenson. Someone who will devote their career to helping real people get justice while treating them with honesty, truth, and respect.

Because the notion of equality injustice is a crucial aspect of law; candidates must demonstrate their passion to use justice to improve their community and help real people. Ideal candidates must exhibit related values within their research, volunteer work, prior job experience, or extracurricular activities.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to participate in the scholarship contest, applicants must meet or exceed the following criteria:

A) High school senior, current college student, current or upcoming law student in the state of Arizona, to be enrolled in a two-year to five-year Arizona institution in 2019-2020 academic year

B) No minimum GPA requirement

C) Must be a legal resident of Arizona

D) For applicants under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian
