Eligibility Requirements:
A) U.S. Citizen (or permanent resident).
B) Enrolled (or enrolling) as full time student of accredited college/university within the United States for completion of undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
C) Limit of one (1) entry per applicant.
D) Eligible educational institution. An eligible educational institution is one whose primary function is the presentation of formal instruction and that normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at the place where it carries on its educational activities.
E) Qualified education expenses. For purposes of tax-free scholarships and fellowship grants, these are expenses for:
1) Tuition and fees required to enroll at or attend an eligible educational institution; and
2) Course-related expenses, such as fees, books, supplies, and equipment that are required for the courses at the eligible educational institution. These items must be required of all students in your course of instruction.
F) Qualified education expenses do not include the cost of:
1) Room and board,Travel, Research, Clerical help, or Equipment and other expenses that are not required for enrollment in or attendance at an eligible educational institution
Entry Requirements:
Submit a brief essay between 400 to 800 words detailing why you chose your major or the importance of your field of study. Your essay should reflect your personal thoughts and experiences that led you to your selected major, so there is no need to be too formal.
Recipient:
A) Individual scholarship award amount of $1,000.
B) Recipient will be notified via email and announced on our CreditSoup page (CreditSoup.com/scholarship) and our CreditSoup social media pages.
C) Recipients must comply with IRS rules to qualify for the tax benefits of the scholarship.
D) Award amount will be made out to the recipient's school in the form of a check and mailed to the recipient's personal address.
