When it comes to its breadth and worth, the Flinn Scholarship stands out among most other merit-based undergraduate scholarships in the United States. Valued at over $135,000, the scholarship covers tuition, fees, accommodation, meals at one of Arizona's three public universities, and even study abroad opportunities.
The application process for the Flinn Scholarship for the Class of 2025 will commence on Thursday, September 12, with the deadline set for Monday, October 21 at 5 p.m.

Elements of the Flinn Scholarship Application
The Flinn Scholarship application includes:
- Forms to gather biographical details and information about current studies, extracurricular activities, and employment;
- Three essay questions;
- An academic/teacher recommendation, which must be submitted separately by a high-school teacher;
- A leadership/service recommendation, which must be submitted separately by a teacher, professor, coach, employer, or community member;
- A transcript and school profile copy, which your high school academic counselor must upload on the counselor report; and
- A copy of ACT or SAT scores (minimum test score of 26 on the ACT or 1230 on the SAT). The last tests that qualify for the Flinn Scholarship are the September 14 ACT and the October 5 SAT.
