Overview
Apply for scholarships up to $20,000 to help pay for attendance at a two- or four-year college, an accredited trade school, or graduate school for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Who is eligible
- I have graduated from high school, earned a high school equivalency/GED, or I will graduate from high school in May 2025.
- I plan to enroll in an accredited trade school, college, or graduate program for the Fall 2025 semester.
- For the $2,500 or $5,000 awards: my cumulative GPA is at least 2.5.
- For the $10,000 or $20,000 awards: my cumulative GPA is at least 3.5.
- I am employed at a KFC restaurant that participates in the KFC Foundation’s Annual Donation Program.
Note: This is a competitive scholarship program; submitting an application does not guarantee an award.
Application and selection process
1. Submit the completed scholarship application by the deadline.
2. Applications are checked for completeness and to confirm minimum eligibility criteria.
3. Essays are evaluated and scored by a judging panel; scholarship recipients are chosen based on their essay scores.
4. Applicants will be informed of the decision by email.
5. Awardees must return a completed scholarship acceptance form by the stated deadline; failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
Janet L. Kuhn Scholarship
One KFC Foundation Scholarship recipient each year may have their award doubled through the Janet L. Kuhn Scholarship. To be considered, applicants must submit an additional essay as part of the KFC Foundation Scholarship application. Recipients of the $10,000 and $20,000 scholarships are not eligible for the Janet L. Kuhn Scholarship.
